Genius of Van

Our family will be expanding to 5 very soon and our trusty Ford Escape seems headed for the trade-in lot. Whlie it will seat 5, baby seats make it a real pain. The logical solution is to purchase a minivan, but my wife refuses to own a van.....ever. I guess true adulthood has descended upon me with a vengeance because I would gladly drive a minivan. 7 seats and plenty of room. However, it doesn't help that we are stuck in last year of our 5 year lease with the Escape. (5 YEARS! What in the name of Henry T. Ford were we thinking?) I'm thinking that a slightly used Chrysler Pacifica or a Ford Freestyle would satisfy my wife, but could break the bank.

Don't know you or your wife, but I'm going with you wife on this decision. Just say no to vans! I know they're practical and all, but....I have no point. I just don't like the aesthetics of the things.

I say who cares what people think and what it looks like, go for what is the best deal. By that I mean what is cheapest.
