My apologies to those who stop by this blog occasionally. School has started at Cascade, which means many athletic events that I'm responsible for. Time is a precious commoddity these days. It hasn't helped that our women's basketball team at Cascade has dwindled to 11 players (From 15). 2 ladies decided the week before school started that they would not be returning, and 2 of our new recruits decided to leave after just a few days. Pretty discouraging really. What can we do but go on? Can't feel too sorry for myself. Hurricane Katrina put alot of things in perspective.
You can follow Jason Hill's mission of service to the Gulf Coast on his blog. His link is on the right!

That's really lame. Why would you go to college just to leave in a couple days?
Not sure.....2 said it was money. It's not like tuition costs were hidden. Both were getting sizeable scholarships. I know Cascade isn't for everyone, but these ladies never gavie it a chance.
We might pick up a volleyball player or 2.
The best by far is Shelby Foote's Civil War, A Narrative. Civil War has always been my favorite part of history, but I think I'd like to get into WWII stuff as well. Rise and fall of Hitler's Germany etc.
