Last Friday Mel and I were treated to a dinner by the Doctor Mel works for. The restaurant was called Bacchus, it's in Vancouver. It's in a strange place, basically a strip mall but you wouldn't know it after you walk in. Very nice.....upscale really. I'd heard it was good, but it surpassed my expectations. After the delicious coconut prawn appetizer, I ordered the blackened halibut and it was the best fish I ever had.
Post meal, a band started to set up for live entertainment. This surprised me, because the atmosphere for our meal was relaxed, but still rather formal. The vibe I got from the band and those waiting to start dancing was almost like a night-club. Ah well, what do I know. Still, it was a very enjoyable evening. (The doctor spent over $500 on our group, Yikes!)
